Our Story
CréAction Collective is a non-profit organization founded in March 2022 by four social workers who shared a common vision: to create a space where art becomes a tool for connection, well-being, and social inclusion.
Born from the personal and professional experiences of its founders, the collective sought to address the need for people to come together, create collaboratively, and combat isolation and stigma. The goal was to create a welcoming space where everyone could show up as their authentic selves, explore their creativity, meet others, and develop a sense of belonging.
Through art workshops in French and English, collaborative art projects, and community initiatives, CréAction Collective uses the creative process to foster connections with oneself, with others, and with the community. Our approach is grounded in dignity, respect, sharing, and active listening.
We also place great importance on "upcycling", transforming reclaimed or discarded items into meaningful works of art. For us, this transformation symbolizes the potential to recognize the value, beauty, and worth of things often dismissed as "broken," useless, or valueless.
CréAction Collective is a space to create, connect, and transform together.

Our Values

Céline Mundinger:
Executive Director, Registered Social Worker, Artist, and Core Workshop Leader
Céline is the core artist, workshop leader, founder and Executive Director of CréAction Collective. A registered Social Worker with over 20 years of experience, she has worked alongside individuals navigating addiction, mental health challenges, migration, and isolation.
Her practice lives at the intersection of art and care. She creates spaces where stories can be shared, creativity can emerge, and people can reconnect: with themselves, with others, and with a sense of belonging. Through CréAction Collective, she works to make art accessible while nurturing resilience, dignity, and community.
Partners
Partnerships are at the heart of CréAction Collective. We don’t work alone: we create alongside others.
By collaborating with community organizations, artists, and service providers, we bring together different gifts, knowledges, and perspectives to co-create workshops that are inclusive, meaningful, and rooted in connection.
We approach partnerships as relationships: built on trust, reciprocity, and care. Through them, we are able to reach wider communities and create spaces that would not exist otherwise.
Below are some of the organizations we have had the privilege to work with. If you feel called to collaborate, we invite you to visit our “Get Involved” page.
